Ormond Beach, FL
Ormond Beach sits just north of Daytona Beach, with oceanfront condos along A1A, homes along the Halifax and Tomoka rivers, and mainland neighborhoods with golf courses, parks and nature trails.
About Ormond Beach
Ormond Beach spreads across both sides of the Halifax River. The beachside, east of the river, has oceanfront condo buildings along A1A and streets of houses a few blocks from the sand. Granada Boulevard is the main street, running from the beach over the Granada Bridge, past the riverfront and the downtown shops and restaurants, and west to I-95.
The mainland has older neighborhoods near the river and the downtown area. Out west and north past I-95, gated golf communities and newer subdivisions sit among pine woods and preserve land. The north end of the city has a more natural feel, with the Tomoka River, salt marsh and big oak hammocks.
Ormond Beach calls itself the Birthplace of Speed, after the early automobile speed runs held on its hard-packed beach.

The Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail is a well-known drive and bike route under canopy oaks along the river and through the hammock north of town.
