About Breakaway Trails

Breakaway Trails was built from the late 1980s into the 2000s on the west side of Ormond Beach. Both entrances have guard gates staffed around the clock. The streets wind past ponds, lakes and wooded preserve, and many homes back up to trees or water instead of another house.

The community has a few named sections, including Carriage Creek, The Preserve and an estate homes section with larger lots. ICI Homes built many of the houses, and you'll also find custom homes from local builders.

Amenities and community

The homeowners' association owns a clubhouse with a community pool and tennis courts, along with pickleball and basketball courts, a ball field, a playground, a dog park and a picnic pavilion. Sidewalks and walking paths run through the neighborhood.
