About DeLand

DeLand is an inland city in west Volusia County and home to the county government. Its downtown has kept its older brick storefronts, with local shops, restaurants, coffee houses and a restored theater along Woodland Boulevard. Stetson University's campus sits just north of downtown, with its own historic buildings and tree-lined streets.

Around the center are older neighborhoods with oak canopies and houses from the early 1900s. Farther out, the city spreads into newer subdivisions and larger rural lots.
