Pirates Cove
Pirates Cove is an oceanfront condo-hotel at 3501 S Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores, with small studio units, a heated oceanfront pool and a fitness room, near the Dunlawton Bridge and the Sunglow Pier.
About Pirates Cove
Pirates Cove is a beachfront building from the early 1970s in the south half of Daytona Beach Shores. Almost every unit is a studio, and many have a private balcony looking straight out at the ocean, some with a side view of the Halifax River and the bridges to the west. Ground-floor units open close to the pool deck and the sand.
Because it's a condo-hotel (a condotel), many units are rented by the night, and financing can work differently than for a regular condo. If you plan to use a loan, talk with your lender early.
Building amenities
The building has a heated pool on the ocean side, a fitness room, a laundry room and elevators, with a walkway out to the beach. Parking is in an open lot in front of the building. The monthly fee covers electricity, cable TV and internet along with the usual building services.
Location
The pier and its restaurant are a short walk down the beach, and more restaurants and shops line A1A in both directions. The Dunlawton Bridge to Port Orange is right by the building, and the Daytona Beach boardwalk, the Ocean Center and Daytona International Speedway are a short drive north and west.

Fees, rules and rentals
The monthly fee is about $757 for a studio; combined units pay more. It covers electricity, cable TV and internet, water, sewer, trash, pest control, grounds care and building insurance. Fees change over time, so check the current amount on each listing.
There's no minimum rental period, so nightly rentals are allowed. Pets are not allowed, apart from service animals. Confirm the current rules with the association before you buy. For any condo building three stories or taller, Florida law requires milestone inspections and structural integrity reserve studies, so ask for the latest reports and any planned special assessments.
