Pine Island
Pine Island is a small HOA community on the New Smyrna Beach mainland, with one-story homes from the late 1980s, many on canals or a lake, a community pool and clubhouse, and a low yearly HOA fee.
About Pine Island
Pine Island is a compact neighborhood tucked off the main roads on the mainland side of New Smyrna Beach. Nearly every home sits on one loop street, Pine Shores Circle, and a few short side streets, and all of them went up within a few years of each other in the late 1980s, so the homes share a similar size and style.
Water runs through the middle of the community: many homes back up to a canal or a lake, which brings water views and a place to paddle a kayak. One homeowners association covers the whole community, and its fee is low and billed yearly.
Amenities and community
The community has its own pool and clubhouse, with a shuffleboard court next to them. The New Smyrna Beach Golf Club is close by, and Hidden Lakes Golf Club is a short drive away.
Location and getting around
Pine Island sits west of US-1, near Wayne Avenue and the city golf course, a few minutes from the Canal Street downtown. The beach and Flagler Avenue are about 10 to 15 minutes away over the North Causeway, and SR 44 and I-95 are a short drive for trips to Daytona Beach, Orlando and DeLand.
